𝐕𝐀𝐑𝐀𝐍𝐀𝐒𝐈 𝐌𝐀𝐒𝐓𝐄𝐑𝐂𝐋𝐀𝐒𝐒 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟕 15-20 𝐍𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟕 Join me for six unforgettable days of street and documentary photography in Varanasi, one of the world's oldest living cities. A place where spirituality, tradition and everyday life come together, offering endless opportunities to create meaningful photographs. Beyond the city itself, we'll also photograph in nearby villages and smaller towns, discovering authentic stories and genuine human connections. This Masterclass is designed for photographers who want to move beyond individual images and learn how to build stronger visual narratives. Throughout the Masterclass, we'll focus on storytelling, layering, environmental portraits, light and shadow, anticipation, working confidently in the streets and creating a consistent body of work. You'll photograph alongside me as I explain my complete approach—from reading a scene and composing the frame to understanding when the decisive moment arrives. 𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗱 𝗟𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗲𝘀 21mm for immersive storytelling and layered compositions, 35mm for classic documentary photography, 50mm for portraits and intimate moments. An 85mm or 70–200mm is optional for selected situations and compressed perspectives. The focus is not on equipment, but on understanding which perspective best serves the story. A local guide, fixer and assistant will accompany us throughout the Masterclass, helping with communication, logistics and access. Local transportation during all Masterclass activities is included, allowing us to focus entirely on photography. On the final day, we'll edit and review the work created during the week, discussing image selection, sequencing and how to build stronger visual stories.
