𝐀𝐟𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐨𝐨𝐧 & 𝐍𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐭 𝐏𝐡𝐨𝐭𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐩𝐡𝐲 𝐌𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐜𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐋𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐨𝐧 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐎𝐯𝐢𝐝𝐢𝐮 𝐒𝐞𝐥𝐚𝐫𝐮 𝐓𝐢𝐦𝐞: 𝟑:𝟑𝟎 𝐏𝐌 𝐭𝐨 𝟏𝟎:𝟎𝟎 𝐏𝐌 𝐋𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: 𝐋𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐨𝐧, 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐊𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐝𝐨𝐦 Join street and documentary photographer Ovidiu Selaru for an immersive masterclass beginning in the late afternoon and continuing into the night. London changes completely as daylight disappears. Artificial light begins to shape the streets, while reflections, shadows, movement and everyday moments create new photographic possibilities. Starting at 3:30 PM allows us to photograph the transition from the final daylight through blue hour and into the atmosphere of London at night. The masterclass will explore composition, anticipation, layering, documentary photography, fine art images, street portraits and visual storytelling. You will learn how to work confidently as the light changes and recognise meaningful moments within busy urban environments. We will use available light from shop windows, street lamps, signs and passing vehicles. Ovidiu will explain how to choose the right position, separate subjects clearly and combine the foreground, middle ground and background to create images with depth.We will also explore slower shutter speeds and intentional movement to create expressive fine art photographs. The focus will remain on creating meaningful images rather than simply recording the city at night. Street portraits will be another important part of the experience. You will learn how to approach people naturally, communicate with confidence and use the surrounding light to create strong and authentic portraits. The small group allows Ovidiu to work closely with everyone and adapt the experience to different photographic styles and levels. 𝐑𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐝 𝐄𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐩𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 A camera with a fast 35mm or 50mm lens, ideally f/1.4 or f/2, spare batteries, memory cards and clothing suitable for London weather.
