𝗠𝗔𝗥𝗦𝗘𝗜𝗟𝗟𝗘 𝗠𝗔𝗦𝗧𝗘𝗥𝗖𝗟𝗔𝗦𝗦 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟳 — 𝗗𝗢𝗖𝗨𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗧𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗟𝗜𝗙𝗘, 𝗖𝗛𝗔𝗢𝗦 & 𝗛𝗨𝗠𝗔𝗡 𝗦𝗧𝗢𝗥𝗜𝗘𝗦 Next summer I will return to Marseille for a new 3-day street & documentary photography masterclass. Marseille is a city full of energy, contrasts, characters, and unexpected situations — exactly the kind of place where documentary photography comes alive. 𝘿𝘼𝙔 1 — 𝙋𝙝𝙤𝙩𝙤𝙜𝙧𝙖𝙥𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙎𝙩𝙧𝙚𝙚𝙩𝙨 & 𝙍𝙚𝙖𝙙𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝘾𝙞𝙩𝙮 We start by exploring Marseille and understanding how to work inside a busy environment. We will focus on: • anticipating moments • reading body language and movement • working with light and composition • getting closer to people • creating layers and depth • documenting everyday life 𝘿𝘼𝙔 2 — 𝙃𝙪𝙢𝙖𝙣 𝙎𝙩𝙤𝙧𝙞𝙚𝙨 & 𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙀𝙣𝙚𝙧𝙜𝙮 𝙤𝙛 𝙈𝙖𝙧𝙨𝙚𝙞𝙡𝙡𝙚 The second day will be focused on the life of the city — the summer atmosphere, people jumping into the sea, the Pride parade, street scenes, and unexpected moments. We will work on: • building stronger frames • finding stories inside the chaos • street portraits and human connection • reacting quickly when something happens • creating a personal visual approach 𝘿𝘼𝙔 3 — 𝙀𝙙𝙞𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙜 & 𝘽𝙪𝙞𝙡𝙙𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙖 𝙎𝙩𝙤𝙧𝙮 On Sunday we spend the day editing together. We will look at the photographs, discuss selections, understand what makes an image work, and learn how to create a stronger and more consistent body of work. 𝙇𝙀𝙉𝙎𝙀𝙎 During the masterclass we will mainly work with: • 21mm — for wide documentary scenes, layers, getting close, and showing the environment • 35mm — for storytelling, street moments, portraits, and everyday situations The full schedule, meeting points, and daily structure will be shared inside our final WhatsApp group before the workshop.
