LONDON STREET & DOCUMENTARY PHOTOGRAPHY MASTERCLASS 3–5 December 2026 | London, United Kingdom December is one of my favorite months to photograph London. As Christmas lights transform the city, London becomes a fascinating mix of atmosphere, contrast, emotion and human stories. From busy markets and illuminated streets to quiet corners hidden between the crowds, the city offers endless opportunities for powerful street and documentary photography. For three intensive days, I will take you through the London I have photographed for more than 16 years. Not the London from tourist guides, but the London I know through thousands of hours spent walking its streets, observing people and waiting for moments to unfold. We will photograph together from early daylight until late evening, exploring both the famous locations and the hidden streets where some of my favorite photographs have been made. Throughout the masterclass I will demonstrate my complete workflow, including how I approach a scene, anticipate moments, work with light and build stronger visual narratives. We will cover: • Street and documentary photography in real-life situations • Working with natural light, contrast and winter conditions • Photographing during the Christmas season in London • Anticipating moments and human interactions • Composition, layering and visual storytelling • Photographing strangers respectfully and confidently • Day and night photography techniques • Camera settings and practical field workflow • Lens selection and perspective, using focal lengths between 21mm and 50mm This is a practical masterclass designed for photographers who want to improve their vision, get closer to people, and create stronger, more meaningful photographs.
