Service Description
Bucharest Street & Documentary Masterclass 29 April – 1 May 2027 | Bucharest, Romania Max 5 Participants Join me for three intensive days of street and documentary photography in one of Eastern Europe’s most fascinating cities. This masterclass is designed for photographers who want to improve their observation skills, strengthen their visual storytelling, and learn how to create meaningful images in real-life situations. Throughout the workshop, we will work with the classic focal lengths of 21mm, 35mm, and 50mm, exploring different approaches to photographing people, places, and everyday life. Each day is built around a unique environment, offering new challenges and opportunities to develop your photographic vision. Day 1 – Markets We begin in Bucharest’s bustling markets, where life unfolds at a fast pace. Here we will focus on anticipation, layering, composition, and learning how to work confidently in crowded environments. Markets provide endless opportunities for authentic human interaction and dynamic street photography. Day 2 – Railway Stations The second day takes us into the world of railway stations and transport hubs. These spaces are full of movement, emotion, arrivals, departures, and stories waiting to be discovered. We will focus on timing, storytelling, and building stronger documentary images. Day 3 – Neighborhoods On the final day, we explore Bucharest’s neighborhoods, moving away from the city’s landmarks to discover its true character. This is where observation, patience, and a documentary mindset become essential. We will search for moments that reveal the identity and atmosphere of the city. What You Will Learn How to use 21mm, 35mm, and 50mm lenses effectively How to anticipate and capture meaningful moments How to create layered and dynamic compositions How to approach street and documentary photography with purpose How to build visual narratives rather than isolated images How to edit and select photographs for a stronger body of work This masterclass is not about chasing perfect photographs. It is about learning how to see, how to understand a place, and how to tell stories through images. Over three days, we will explore three different faces of Bucharest and develop the skills needed to create stronger, more personal, and more compelling photographs.
